Ready for the off . . . . .
The final ‘Last Wednesday’ ride of the summer was the best supported, with fourteen bikes. Another cracking sunny day with a route mixture of lanes and A roads, including Zig Zag Hill leading up to a ride across Cranborne Chase glorious in the sunshine on our way to Compton Abbas airfield. Zig Zag Hill is always difficult to ‘get right’, impossible with fourteen bikes getting in one another’s way but fun none the less.

We also managed to visit Shillingstone Station for an ice cream on our journey back to Yeovil, originally planned as September’s destination. I will draw a veil over certain individuals following the wrong bike to Blandford or forgetting that we were diverting to Shillingstone and having to retrace their steps……
